OBJECTIVES: 

-KNOWLEDGE: pupils should recognize the position of birds in the animal kingdom and their evolutionary success on all parts of the globe. 

-SKILLS: Pupils develop observation of their environment and recording of such observations. Learning to recognize species, their habitats and behaviour based on observations and with the help of other material like guides. 

-CRITICAL THINKING ABILITIES: Learning to think scientifically about daily observations such as the common bird and its structure and behaviour.
