The Departments of Physics and Chemistry invite people interested in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to participate in a one-day NMR meeting at the University of Oulu on February 27th 2012. The meeting is organized to celebrate three topical issues:
•the career of Professor Jukka Jokisaari, who will retire in February 2012
•inauguration of the new NMR laboratory

•50-year history of NMR at the University of Oulu
The program includes historical overviews (both in Finnish and in English), the inauguration ceremony and lectures of three invited, top-level international speakers as well as local researchers.
