CourseBuilder Drag & Drop scripts for Netscape 6+ ------------------------------------------------- Copyright (c)2003 Liam Byrne; Portion copyright (c)2000-2002 Macromedia These scripts enable the CourseBuilder extension's Drag & Drop interactions to work under Netscape 6.x and 7.x DOMs. IMPORTANT: These scripts are released as shareware. Should you find these scripts useful, it is requested that you forward €40 to the author to facilitate support and future development. For further information, and to arrange licensing, please contact liambyrne@netscape.net Licensed users can also obtain support, and any bugs or issues should also be reported via this email address. Compatibility ------------- The extension has been tested with Coursebuilder interactions, developed using Dreamweaver 3/4/MX, under a combination of the following operating systems and browsers: - Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP - Internet Explorer 4/5.0/5.5/6.0 - Netscape 4.7/6.0/6.1/6.2/7.0/7.1/7.2 Should you experience problems with any of the above browsers, please email me via liambyrne@netscape.net If you do manage to test successfully in a different combination of operating system/browser, I would be obliged if you would let me know so that I can update the above list. Upgrade Installation for existing pages --------------------------------------- If you have existing pages created using CourseBuilder, locate their scripts directory and unzip the enclosed script files to that directory. Installation under Dreamweaver (for development of future pages) ---------------------------------------------------------------- If you wish, you can unzip the scripts to the CourseBuilder scripts directory under Dreamweaver's Configuration directory. This will enable all future Drag and Drop interactions created under Dreamweaver to work in Netscape 6+ Additional checks ----------------- If the pages do not work first time, you will also need to check the following: 1. Check that the contents of each drag and drop layer are the same size as the layer itself 2. If possible, remove any DOCTYPE declaration from the page. Some variations of this declaration permit the interaction to work under Netscape, while others prevent it Acknowledgements ---------------- My thanks to Fiona, Chris, Dave, Mary, Diane and Michelle for their assistance with the cross-browser/cross-platform tests.
