Durig the agricultural circumstances were prevailing in society, as a consequense of population growth the population density grows. And at the same time the colonization also spreads from the centers. In Finland this kind of a movement directed in the 1940s and the 1950s to the east and the north. Part of the people who moved to those farms were from those areas which were lost in the war. Behind the new border in east there were over 420,000 people (which was 11% of the countrys population at the time) who had to leave their homes. The settlement of those people after war has been the biggest inner migration of our country.
