BETASIMU: Simulating GLIM data files from the beta response function

I have suggested (Journal of Vegetation Science 8, 147-152; 1997: abstract) that beta response function is not a good general tool for gradient analysis: Fitted beta functions tend to find that symmetric responses are skewed (and, actually, they underestimate skewness when the true response is skewed). Arguments may be difficult to assess, and so I have written a special-purpose program to simulate beta response function: By using that you can self judge whether I'm right or wrong.
