J-P. Kallunki holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Vaasa, Finland. His current research interests include behavioral aspects of corporate governance and auditing, financial statement analysis, wealth-effects in executive compensation, and insider trading. He has also published papers on cost accounting, management control systems and employee stock options. In the area of finance, his publication record includes papers on asset pricing, stock market microstructure and firm valuation. J-P. has published his research in such journals as Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, Management Accounting Research, Journal of Management Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Intermediation, and Journal of International Money and Finance.

At the Oulu Business School, J-P. Kallunki teaches corporate governance, firm valuation, financial statement analysis and financial markets to M.Sc. and eMBA students. He has supervised more than 10 Ph.D. theses. J-P. has also taught in graduate, executive, and professional programs in several universities in Finland and Sweden, and he has presented his research to both academic and practitioner audiences in numerous places around the world.
