The laboratory is mainly operated on "self-service" basis, that is the users are trained to use the equipment and to measure their own spectra as there are no hired spectroscopists or laboratorians. This is also seen to best serve the educational purpose of the University as it teaches the students and the researchers valuable skills to be mastered. The educational responsibilities are shared by the Structural Chemistry Group from the Department of Chemistry and the NMR Research Group from the Department of Physics as well as the facility manager.
