Course announcment:

The University of Oulu is part of the European network “Formal Models and Quantitative Methods for Psychology”, which organizes intensive courses in mathematical psychology.

In 2011 the course takes place near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, March 20–31. The university can fund the participation of 3–4 students. The theme of the course in 2010 is Formal Models in Cognitive Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology. See

The course consists some pre-reading before the trip, lectures and a presentation. It is an advanced or intermediate course (syventävä tai aineopintokurssi) worth 5 ECTS (op) and can be included in most study programs (suuntautumisvaihtoehto). A course in probability or statistics is a prerequisite.
