Dr. Mysore Tejesvi

PhD in 2007: "Molecular diversity of endophytic Pestalotiopsis species from medicinal plants and screening for bio-actives".
Tejesvi is looking for new antibiotics (antimicrobial peptides and metabolites) using metagenomics and transcriptomics technique from fungal endophytes of northern medicinal plants in a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship.

Ph.D. student in Plant physiology at the University of Oulu since December 2006, "Interaction between Methylobacterium endophytes and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.)" The aim of the study is to characterize the interactions between these two species at molecular level.

M.Sc. Johanna Metsometsä

Johanna graduated in June 2008 from University of Oulu. Title of her Pro Gradu thesis was "The effects of nutrient optimization on Norway Spruce (Picea abies) wood chemistry"
She started her doctoral studies in 2008 and is studying the interactions between Scots Pine, endophytic methylobacteria and ectomycorrhizal fungi.
