[Up we go]

Climbing up from the landing point.

[Walking up]

Another view.

We walked on the hills, because the lowland was a swamp that could be dangerous to travel through.

[Walking]

On some of the high points of the area, there were these piles of rocks, made by travelers.

[Puddle with grass around it]

There was a peculiar kind of grass growing around this puddle, concentrated into tufts some of which were nearly spherical in shape (see near the right edge of the photo for an example). It seemed rather specialized, as I couldn't notice the same kind of grass anywhere else.

[Swamp]

A view of part of the swamp.

Walking through the grass.

The low dynamic range of the camera does no justice to this scenery; there was a huge contrast in lighting between the sky, and the rock, grass and people in the foreground. Either the sky burned into completely white (like here), or everything else faded into a silhouette.

[Walking in the grass]

On the right: Taking a break. Kangersuneq is visible in the distance.

Below: A panorama built out of four separate shots of Kangersuneq as seen from afar.
