Lunch break

After Gullfoss, it was time for a lunch break. There was another waterfall nearby, and it was decided that we would have our lunch there.

On the way, we came upon a hill overlooking the river Hvítá, and climbed it to get a better view of the surrounding landscape.

As mentioned earlier, it was very windy. The strong wind was more or less continuous for the whole day.

After a short drive, we arrived at the waterfall for the lunch break.

The descent to the lake was gentle, and it was possible to go down all the way.

The rock formations in the walls of the lake looked interesting.
