Research interests focus on the NMR spectroscopy of
- NMR of noble gases (neon, krypton and xenon) dissolved in liquid crystals, and adsorbed in molecular sieves (Noble gas NMR is used for the study of physicochemical properties of the materials.)
- NMR of solute molecules in liquid crystals (Determination of molecular structure, and nuclear shielding, spin-spin coupling and quadrupole coupling tensors)
- Determination of pore size and pore size distribution using 129Xe NMR of xenon dissolved in isotropic liquids or liquid crystals and confined into pores of mesoporous materials
- NMR of isotropic liquids (Determination of spin-spin coupling constants and of the anisotropy of nuclear shielding tensors through relaxation time measurements)
NMR of laser polarized (hyperpolarized) 129Xe gas and its application to materials research
- MRI of materials
